I'm Shanna, and I am in the Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Summer 2014 and will graduate Summer 2015. In 2007, I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Secondary English Education degree; in 2013, I earned my M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction with an Emphasis on Literacy from Lesley University. During that span, I married the handsome fella in the picture with me, had two adorable babies, and taught literature and composition to hundreds of North Cobb High School ninth graders.

These days, I work and play with my own children during the day and tutor Cobb and Fulton County students in the evenings. I also maintain my connection to NCHS through their student government team, of which I was the sole faculty sponsor until last year. Now that my little ones are soon to begin school and I have nearly completed this degree and plan to seek a doctorate in the same field, I am ready to return to the classroom and implement all the cool new technology tools and research-based methodologies that will take education to all new realms of awesomeness in the years to come.
